The 2012 Olympic Games are finally upon us! And while this would be thrilling all on its own, we’re really on the edge of our seats and are so excited to cheer on superstar athlete Sanya Richards Ross, who happens to be one of our clients AND a member of the USA Track and Field team competing in the summer games in London.

We designed Sanya’s logo and designed and coded her custom WordPress website last year (read about the project here).

Sanya, who set four world-leading times over 200 and 400 meters in her first three competitions of the 2012 season, is a medal contender for the women’s 200 meter, 400 meter and 4×400 meter relay events during the Olympic games in August.

Here’s a video of her incredible first place win in the Olympic trials in June that secured her place at the 2012 Olympic games.

The key days for Sanya in the Games will be her 400 meter race final on Sunday, August 5th, the 200 meter final on Wednesday, August 8th and the 4×400 meter relay final on Saturday, August 11th if all goes well.

Lots of fans have caught on, emailing, tweeting and Facebooking pictures of themselves sporting the SRR Braid everywhere. Sanya has said that on her race days, she’ll feel like all of her fans will be in London with her if she knows everyone is wearing her signature braid on her big day.
